The need to carefully examine and effectively conduct lawful workplace investigations is more critical than ever. Effective internal investigations of discrimination, harassment, code of conduct and other policy violations are one of the most critical components in the area of employment law liability prevention. This interactive session will provide a foundation for strategies that are responsive to recent workplace dynamics, such as the #MeToo movement, while improving organizational culture on multiple levels.

About the Speaker

Theresa Rusnak, BS&K

Theresa represents employers in matters of labor and employment law. She regularly works with colleges and universities, manufacturers, non-profits and school districts to ensure compliance with the ever-changing statutes and regulations under New York and federal law.  Theresa particularly enjoys representing religious organizations and entities, and advising them on compliance with state and federal law, while being mindful of their unique circumstances. Theresa has represented clients in EEOC, Division of Human Rights, OSHA, NCAA and Department of Labor investigations, and corresponding litigation matters.
