Margaret DeLorenzo

Margaret DeLorenzo:  Through her practice, MSD Consulting, Margaret S. DeLorenzo, MHA assists organizations in achieving healthcare regulatory compliance.  Since 2011, she has focused her engagements assisting specialty practices in the creation of customized programs of compliance with the HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules, HITECH Act, and HIPAA Omnibus Final Rule to include policy and procedure development, forms revision, staff training services, and compliant completion of the security risk analysis…an activity essential to be documented as part of a practice’s compliant attestation efforts within the CMS EHR Incentive Program.  She has worked with numerous surgical, ophthalmology, podiatry, cardiology, fertility, physical therapy, and internal medicine providers.  Recent clients have also included managed network service providers and other “business associates” of covered entities.

Ms. DeLorenzo has over 20 years of management experience in the healthcare industry, as both provider and consultant.  She served as associate administrator of a psychiatric teaching hospital, director of a geriatric psychiatry inpatient program, and practice manager for ob-gyn, orthopedic, and multi-specialty primary care group practices prior to becoming a consultant.  She holds a Master of Health Administration degree from Cornell University as well as a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Society from Cornell.
